Featured In VoyageTampa- Andrew Goldstein Owner of Tally Entertainment LLC
We're excited to have our owner and CEO Andrew Goldstein featured in VoyageTampa's Change-Makers series.
Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrew Goldstein. He shares his story with us below:
Video production is much more than entertainment. It is to capture real-life moments of passion, struggle, vulnerability, truths, or inspiration. Video production gives these moments an extremely broad audience who can relate with these similarities that we all share. As a child of adoption, I was susceptible to many of these truths at a younger age than most, as
all adoptees are. This sparked a drive in me to want to move forward, in whatever career I choose, with the motivation to help others. Years later, while attending college at the University of Hartford’s Barney School of Business, I found myself presented with the opportunity to assist a local business in both establishing their brand locally and driving patrons to their establishment. This business was called Tipsy Girl, which you might be familiar with if you are a fan of the Real Housewife’s of New York. Tipsy Girl had a local bar/lounge that was enduring what many newer establishments do. A spike of customers in the beginning then a sudden decrease in clientele. With this opportunity, I founded Promotonics Promotions which, as the name suggests, was a promotional company. After diligently working with Tipsy Girl, we greatly improved their revenue and helped in achieving their goals. The establishment was then able to relocate its restaurant to the big city itself, New York.
With this success I began to move to other local bars in need of crowds, only to find it was not as easy the second time around. With assistance from the lessons, I had learned throughout my upbringing in a business-oriented family and my continued education at The University of Hartford, I knew it was time to pivot the brand. I did this by changing the brand name to Promotonics Marketing Agency.
From this, I experienced a fair amount of success and was able to work with some amazing brands. One of which is due to make their debut on ABC’s Shark Tank this month.
Soon thereafter came the unprecedented pandemic. In March 2019, there was a plan in place to move to Florida to expand Promotonics reach. Doing so while my longtime partner follows her dream to pursue law school. Which I hear is only a little easier when the weather is not below 50 degrees like it is in Connecticut seven months out of the year. We all know how things played out when the pandemic swept throughout the nation. There was money flowing, but not to the mom-and-pop businesses we primarily worked with. We were able to still make the move, but concerns continued to grow for our clientele. I tirelessly searched for avenues to support our small businesses which led to the creation of Tally Entertainment.
